12-14 May
Aberdeen Proving Ground Military Vehicle / Militaria Swap Meet
Aberdeen, MD

Monty writes - "Spaces Green A17-19 reserved for VMPA members to sell, trade, and buy. Plenty of spaces to unload that stuff you've wanted to get rid of for the past years. Plenty of people driving up so share a ride if you want. Marc and Adrian will both be hauling trailers up, contact them if you need something picked up there or hauled up, etc. Also, come celebrate Adrian's retirement from US Army service after 31+ years and have a beer with him after Marc publishes the official orders."

20-22 May
"Warbirds over the Beach"
Virginia Beach, VA

"Continuous entertainment from the 1940s begins Saturday and Sunday at 10:00am and runs throughout both days. Plan to get comfortable on your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy big band music, singing, dancing, impersonators, and more!"

4 July
4th of July Parade
Yorktown, VA

An afternoon event and members should not feel pressured to drive a vehicle just to attend.  Still in planning, typically we do the parade, have a cookout or BBQ and either wait for the fireworks or depart. This year they are planning on a late parade to help reduce pressures on the local constabulary forces required to reign in all the radical veterans that participate. Please no obscene t-shirts!

30-31 July

Sky Soldiers (Huey rides)
Williamsburg-Jamestown Airport (near Ft Eustis)

Vietnam era UH-1 Hueys will offer rides for $50 ($40 for vets). This was on Ft Eustis last year. Further info - Sky Soldiers Demonstration Team. Participation in the "Living History" displays is encouraged. However, due to space limitations and other factors, prior coordination and authorization is mandatory. Contact Military History Air/Ground Operations Group for your place in the Fire Base. Administrator Robert "Sarge" Bruce RBRUCEPIX@AOL.COM or via phone - 804-769-7897 (King William, VA).
