Mission Statement

The Virginia Military Preservation Association, VMPA, is dedicated to preserving our military history in the Hampton Roads area. From pieces of memorabilia and restored military vehicles, to providing displays at events, to educating the military and the public, young or old, about our military history. We also support non-profit organizations, such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars' poppy sales.

Our organization consists of members from all walks of life. We are members of the military, law enforcement officers, retirees, and many civilians. What we all have in common is an interest to preserve our military heritage and to share it with the public, to educate and to honor our veterans. Membership is open to anyone who would like to help with our preservation effort, whether you own military vehicles, would just like to come out and help, or are looking to get started in re-enactment.
